A number of tests have been carried out on different parameters to certify the numerous qualities of our Concrewall technology and EPS panels.

Expanded Polystyrene(EPS) is a bi-product of oil & gas. It is a synthetic polymer from monomers of the aromatic hydrocarbon styrene. Commonly used in packaging material for electronics, soundproofing and other general other purpose uses. In the construction industry, EPS was first used in Rome, Italy and the 1st patents were issued then for general construction use across the globe. In Uganda, EPS use in the construction industry has been standardized with our lobbying and collaboration efforts with UNBS among others. Currently, EPS for construction is classified under standards: US 2224:2020, US 2225:2020 US EAS 412:2019 KEBS 16065(In Kenya)

Misile Tests

The Single Panels successfully passed the missile tests with estimated wind speeds around 320 km/h – 200 mph

Strength & Compaction

A Single Panel 400 cm x 400 cm was progressively loaded towards the breaking point which corresponds to a uniformly distributed nominal load well over 2000 kg/m2. The test was done by slowly flling a water tank measuring. 300 cm x 300 cm and 200 cm high.

Mechanical Resistance: Shear & Compression

The minimum value from the results of the testing for breakage under compression was 70 tons. This means that the Single Panel is able to support the loads from a six storey building. Single Panel with 3 cm of shotcrete per side = 20 MPa = 3000 PSI PCS08 Up : 0,58 W/m2K = 0,102 Btu/hr ft2 °F PCS16 Up : 0,30 W/m2K = 0,053 Btu/hr ft2 °F PCD15_5+5 Up : 0,444 W/m2K = 0,078 Btu/hr ft2 °F PCD15_8+8 Up : 0,35 W/m2K = 0,062 Btu/hr ft2 °F
